What is a malouinière ?

In the 18^th century, the « malouinière » constitued a new type of noble house, has the St Malo's typical architecture.

There are few magnificent buildings prides of the shipowners and the malouins privateers wich « The sirs of St Malo » made build to finish establishing their fame and showing their wealth.

Valmarin is one of her

Registred historic monument, she is the only one malouinière – hotel today in place in St Malo.

Built in the end of the 17^th century, she was set up within a very beautiful park with hundred-year old trees.
